The fearsome Nürburgring, 1963. On the grid in the famous Jaguar E-type were owners Peter Lindner and Peter Nocker. The duo led for much of the gruelling race, proving the potential of even a more standard E-Type. This famous Jag was later completely remodelled into a unique streamlined lightweight variant and was one of the fastest of its type. Designed to be as streamlined as possible for Le Mans, the car sadly was involved in a horrific fatal accident at Reims in 1964 and lay unrestored until 2011.
