Saratoga Model Shipyard 1/1250 SMY15 USS Oglala CM-4 minelayer, 1941
USS Oglala was built as an express freighter in 1908. She was purchased by the USN and laid the WW1 North Sea barrage in 1918 as USS Shawmut. From 1920-28 she was an aviation tender. Re-named Oglala, she was flagship, Mine Div. 1 at Pearl Harbor and was sunk during the Japanese attack in Dec. 1941. Raised & repaired, becoming ARG-1, she served in the Central Pacific from 1943-45.
