Airbus Helicopters’ H145 light multi - purpose helicopter is a development of the BK - 117 programme, featuring a Fenestron shrouded tail - rotor, improved avionics and more powerful engines. Since 2016, the Baden - Württemberg Police Helicopter Squadron has operated six H145 s and is the first police squadron in the Federal Republic of Germany to operate this modern type of helicopter.
