C section channel 3.2mm (1/8in) high, 1.3mm (50thou) width, styrene thickness 0.6mm (25thou).
Pack of 8 lengths, each 380mm (15in) long.
C section channel is often used for the main load-bearing beams in the construction of underframes for rail vehicles and road lorries, the deeper back section provides good resistance to bending under load while the narrower flanges prevent lateral distortion. For model building the flat-backed C section can be used to recreate the outer appearance of H and I section beams where the back is not going to be visible.
