Peco OO LK-205 GWR Monkton Combe Wooden Station Building Kit
Monkton Combe, once an intermediate station on the long-closed Camerton branch built in 1910 and closed to passengers in 1925, the goods-only branch was thrust into the limelight in 1952 when it was chosen to be the location for the filming of the famous Ealing Comedy 'The Titfield Thunderbolt'.
This kit comprises a set of precision laser-cut wooden parts, plus a few plastic accessories such as chimney pots, with plenty of detail and texture to replicate the wooden building as it was during its short life as a passenger station.
Despite its very short life the building was an attractive one and a similar style has been used at other locations around the GWR system and with models of the Titfield Thunderbolt locos and rolling stock becoming available soon modellers may wish to recreate Titfield station itself!
NB Finished demonstration model shown in photographs has additional items from the Peco scenic accessories range not included with this kit.
