Peco OO LK-200 Wooden station building kit.
Filling the gap for a wooden station building in the Peco OO gauge Lineside Kits range this building is a typical locally constructed wooden structure as could be found at wayside stations on cross-country routes and branchlines. The generic in design represents a structure with horizontal wooden boards, and can be built with or without the canopy.
This is a mixed media kit with wood and plastic parts. The main structure including floor and walls have been produced from MDF, laser cut and engraved with planking lines. Moulded plastic window frames, roof tile sheets and detailing parts are drawn from Pecos' existing kits and LK-78 and LK-79 building detailing sets. Assembly is very straight forward as the clear exploded diagrams on the instructions guide the builder through each stage. The laser cut detail of the canopy brackets are particularly eye-catching.
Being a generic model intended to recreate a locally built wooden structure the kit can easy be modified to create a sports pavilion, large shed/workshop, office building for a coal, builders or timber merchants' yard or even a beach cafe of the type found alongside many seaside promenades.
