The Studebaker Champion Starlight Coupe? was manufactured by the Studebaker motor company between 1947 and 1955 under its Champion and Commander series. The two-door car seated five people and apart from the very long front body, a striking feature was the accentuated wrap around rear window which afforded panoramic views for rear seated passengers.
For its third release, it appears in a deep red with extensive silver trim including the futuristic bullet nosed ‘spinner’ front sheet metal design above the twin radiator grilles. The colourful Studebaker badge is also printed above the ‘spinner’. Further detailing includes whitewall tyres with dark red wheel inserts and the interior has seating moulded in warm cygnet beige. The car is registered NY 50 2B78 90.
