Here is another great British Rail livery to follow the
previous two BR themed releases on the Shelvoke & Drewry
Freightlifter.  After the chocolate and cream BR Western and the crimson
British Rail versions, we are now delighted to included the bright
yellow BR colour scheme with contrasting trim and interior. Additional
colour sees the huge wheels painted red and the model is rounded off
with the familiar British Rail arrows logo in red on the side of the
cab.
The Freightliner was first produced in 1952 for the London Brick
Company buts its usefulness and great capability was quickly recognised
by other users of forklifts, particularly the railways, where they were
regularly seen busily operating in railway depots and stations. Our
little 1:76 scale replica, registered VXR 332, will surely find a place
as an accessory on your 00 gauge railway layout of the particular BR
era.
