Navis Neptun 22N SMS Hindenburg, the last German Battlecruiser to enter service During WW1 1/1250
A 1/1250 scale metal model of the German battlecruiser Hindenburg, a Derfflinger class battlecruiser of the German navy in WW1. Hindenburg saw little action, having entered service after the battle of Jutland but she was interned in Scapa Flow and scuttled in 1919. Although she settled in shallow water that did not allow her to capsize and her decks were awash at low tide, she proved most difficult to salvage because she was top heavy and tried to capsize as she was refloated. Eventually, after removing most of the superstructure, Cox succeeded in refloating her and she was towed upright to Rosyth for scrapping.
