Navis Neptun 1/1250 121AN HMS Courageous a RN large light cruiser 1917
Navis Neptun 121AN 1/1250th Die-cast Model of HMS Courageous 1917 a Royal Navy Battle Cruiser from World War 1, produced using a rapid-prototype original.
Sister ship Glorious differed in the position of the searchlight platforms around the funnel.
Part of First Sea Lord Jack Fisher's never to used plan to invade the north coast of Germany as a means to relieve pressure on the Western front, these shallow-draft big gun giants were considered white elephants until converted to aircraft carriers. Even then they were misused and Courageous was torpedoed and sunk whilst hunting submarines in October 1939.
