Navis Neptun 1/1250 51AN Emden, German Light Cruiser, 1914
SMS Emden is a second-hand, 1/1250 scale, waterline, metal model of the German light cruiser in very good condition, see photograph. The model was made by Navis Neptun in Germany, catalogue number 51AN.
When war was declared in 1914, ships of the German East Asiatic Squadron were painted grey and began raiding British shipping and other interests in the Far East. Emden sailed west alone and became the most famous raider in C20th history.
