Navis Neptun 1/1250 302AN USS New Mexico, 1917-18, Special Limited Edition
Arrived December 2012! A special limited edition model of New Mexico in WW1 with 3D-printed cage masts (supported only by the external framework, no internal supports). A tour de force of miniature modelling to celebrate 50 years of the Navis Neptun company.
New Mexico was the first battleship to be fitted with turbo-electric drive. However, when she was re-fitted for service in the 1930s, this was removed and she was given similar equipment to her sisters. The cage masts were also removed during this re-fit (see the Neptun model for this ship during WW2).
