Navis Neptun 1/1250 109N HMS Dreadnought, the innovative British battleship.
A highly detailed metal model in 1/1250 scale of the HMS Dreadnought, the first all big gun battleship to enter service in the 20th century. Modelled here with torpedo nets (1907 to 1915), the model represents Dreadnought when operating with the Atlantic, later the Grand Fleet. In 1915 she was re-fitted and became flagship of the Channel Fleet.
The introduction of the first all big gun battleship and the first large warship to be powered by steam turbines was going to render all previous battleships obsolete, so HMS Dreadnought was built in a year and a day to leave all others standing in her wake!
