HMS ˜Harvester was an H class destroyer being built for Brazilian Navy. Requistioned 4th September 1939 named HMS Handy before completion 27th February 1940. renamed HMS Harvester in 1940. 11.09.40 bombards Cherbourg. 11.03.43 while escorting convoy HX-228 HMS Harvester rams German U-boat U-444 but is disabled and the U-boat had to be finished off by Acconit. Harvester now stationary and is sunk by U-432. The Class Destroyers data : Displacement: 1340 tonnes.
