The Rafale B is the two-seat version of the French fighter aircraft, featuring a delta wing and canard foreplanes, developed by Dassault Aviation. An extremely versatile aircraft, it can carry out air-superiority, ground-attack, reconnaissance, and electronic-warfare missions. The pair of Snecma M88 engines with afterburner provide the aircraft with significant performance, including a top speed exceeding Mach 1.8 and a good operational range. Its aerodynamic configuration also gives the aircraft outstanding manoeuvrability. The Rafale B can carry a wide range of weapons suitable for all types of missions, including air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles, as well as guided bombs. Its primary user is the French Air Force (Armée de l’Air), but it is also operated by the air forces of other countries such as Croatia and Greece.
