Based on the previous light tank Pz.Kpfw. II, this artillery self propelled has been developed for the German army in the early ‘40’s. With the increased hull length, it was capable to accommodate a 10,5Cm obits. Thanks to it’s good mobility and to the shelled protected cannon, it was able to operate in proximity of the front lines, ensuring artillery support to the infantry units. Produced in 500 units between 1941 and 1943, this self propelled became the standard vehicle at divisions levels.
