The AH-1T Sea Cobra is an attack helicopter developed by Bell Helicopter as a direct evolution of the AH-1J to meet the operational requirements of the United States Marine Corps, with the goal of ensuring full operational capability and effectiveness during naval and amphibious operations. Compared to its predecessor, the AH-1T featured a redesigned fuselage and fuel tanks, resulting in increased endurance, operational range, and time on station over the target area. It was employed in close air support missions for ground forces, anti-tank warfare, and armed reconnaissance. The crew consists of two personnel—the pilot and the weapons systems operator—seated in tandem to optimize visibility during combat. In addition to its 20 mm cannon, the most common armament configuration included TOW anti-tank missiles and unguided rockets.
