The B-52 Stratofortress is the most famous and famous long-range strategic bomber in aviation history. Produced by the American company Boeing since 1955, it was, for a long time, a symbol of the cold war and equipped the flight departments of the US Air Force Strategic Air Command. Produced in numerous versions, it has progressively evolved to better respond to the changed operational needs. The “G” version represented the highest point, in terms of units produced, of the “Stratofortress” project. It could be armed with the North American AGM-28 Hound Dog stand-off air-to-surface nuclear missile that was part of the US nuclear arsenal until the mid-1970s.
