Dragon Models 1/72 7619 AAVP7A1 RAM/RS with Interior
This sublime plastic kit of the AAVP7A1 RAM/RSA is beautifully detailed. It follows on from previously released 1/72 AAVP7A1 kits in the series, but what sets this one apart is the employment of 3D-printed parts to depict a complete interior for the fighting compartment. These elements are stunningly detailed. Not only that, but there are also photo-etched parts for components like the engine grill mesh, plus there are one-piece tracks for greater refinement. This 1/72 scale Armor Pro kit is well engineered to permit swift assembly too. Whether swimming at sea, rolling up a sandy beach or travelling along a dusty urban street, this realistic Amtrac is ready for anything!
The US Marine Corps (USMC) has been using the Amphibious Assault Vehicle 7 (AAV7) since 1972, and even today it continues to be the primary means of transporting marines ashore in beach landings. USMC vehicles have participated in combat in Beirut, Grenada, Panama, the Gulf War, Somalia, Haiti, Kosovo and Iraq, for example. The AAV7, weighing in at 29.1 tons and measuring 7.94m long, is used by a great many other nations too. Operated by a crew of three, the most common Personnel variant, the AAVP7A1, can carry up to 21 passengers.
