A highly detailed ready to run model of the British Railways standard design of 20 ton goods train guards brake van. These vans were built in the 1950s and some are still to be found acting as riding vans for propelling movements and around large yards.
Dapol have choosen to produce a model of the main series of vans conforming to diagram 1/504 (vacuum piped) and 1/506 for the standard vans. These total around 2,300 vehicles built with plain oil bearing axleboxes and BR spindle buffers. Dapol are already planning to produce the late-built vans with roller bearing axleboxes and Oleo buffers in future batches.
