Detailed models of the BR InterCity 125 high speed train power cars and Mk3 passenger coaches produced by Dapol.
Driven by a 5 pole motor in one of the power cars allied with a diecast chassis and all-wheel drive full length trains can be operated with ease. Full directional lighting is fitted to both the driven and non-driven power cars with Next18 decoder sockets for DCC operation.
This pair of HST power cars are finished as locomotive numbers 43465 and 43484 operated by specialist train moving company Rail Adventure. These power cars are fitted with standard buffers and coupling hooks for hauling almost any type of rolling stock, moving empty and off-lease rolling stock between depots or delivering brand new trains for acceptance testing and certification.

Prototype

The class 43 HST units were designed by BR and developed between 1975 and 1982.

These units were used all over the country and, due to their sleek design and ability to reach high speeds in short distances, they were instantly a favourite for railway operators. They were ideal for non electrified route, which were common in the 1970s and 1980s.
