Dapol N 2P-009-600 BR RTC Test Coach 10 ex-Prototype HST MK3 Coach RTC Livery

Following the completion of the HST development programme new uses were found for several of the Mk3 coaches built for the prototype train. First class coach 41000 was converted by the Railway Technical Centre as a multi-purpose test train coach, Test Car 10 and used for further development of trans suitable for higher speeds, including testing of the pre-production APT power units hauled by the prototype power cars.
Test Car 10 remans in operation, now part of the New Measurement Train.
