Box not perfect Wing braces have broken off. All have been refitted but not perfectly. Two Braces have again broken off and are loose in the box.
209 Squadron were re-formed at Mount Batten on 15th March 1930 as a flying boat unit with only 4 Iris aircraft.In September 1939 the Squadron moved to Invergordon to cover the North Sea.It moved again in October to Oban where is was equpped with the Saro Lerwick, however this aircraft proved to be a failure and in April 1941 they were replaced by Catalinas.In 1941, it moved to Lough Erne and then to Iceland in August before returning to Pembroke Dock.
