La Jument lighthouse is situated at the Northwest extreme of the Bay of Biscal and was built in the 1890s. Famos these days for the photograph taken by Philip Plisson shortly before automation of the light when the lighthouse was about to be hit by a very large wave as the keeper opened the door to see if the helicopter was his overdue relief!
