Coastlines 1/1250 CL-L08b Spurn Head section including lighthouses and dunes
A 1/1250 scale model of part of Spurn Head in low relief form including a 51cm (20") section of the sand dunes and estuary beach, the disused lighthouse and the water tower on the base of Smeaton's low light by Coastlines Models CL-L08b.
The model consists of two sections of dunes one of which contains the two towers. The dunes are mounted on a thin section of estuary beach designed to overlap at their left hand ends as shown on the photograph. The photograph matches the view seen from inside the estuary in 2006 but the plain section has been designed to fit at either end of the tower section although on Spurn Head proper there is a ruined quayside to the right of the water tower.
The sections are low relief being 50% of scale width in relation to their length and height.
