Coastlines CL-D01u Graving Dock No 9 Laninon, Brest 1/1250
Modelled on one of a pair of same sized docks at Laninon, Brest, this is a waterline model of of a drydock. The depth of the casting is designed to be compatible with Triang Minic quay straights so that it can be incorporated into your own mini-ship harbour. The paint finish is compatible with the other Coastlines quayside accessories.
The German Battlecruiser Gneisenau was repaired in this dock in 1941 and the french battlecruiser Dunkerque's bow was added here after launching from a slip further up river in the 1930s. The Mountford US Harbour Heavy Lift Crane (MM203/95) is similar to the one at this dock.
