The depth of the casting is designed to be compatible with Triang Minic quay straights so that it can be incorporated into your own mini-ship harbour. The German Battlecruiser Gneisenau was repaired in this dock in 1941 and the french battlecruiser Dunkerque's bow was added here after launching from a slip further up river in the 1930s. The Mountford US Harbour Heavy Lift Crane (MM203/95) is similar to the one at this dock.
