Coastlines CL-AS03 R33, RAF airship, 1919 1/1250
A 1/1250 scale model of R33, one of only two airships of this type completed to the order of the Royal Naval Air Service (the other being the more famous R34). Both airships entered service with the RAF but R33 was largely used for training and testing. R33 lasted longer than any other British rigid airship being broken up at the end of the 1920s.
Although identical to Beardmore-built R34, R33 always appeared to be smoother-skinned than her sister and this is reflected in the models. R33 was fitted for mooring at a mast which R34 was not, so there is no shield on the bow.
