Coastlines 1/1250 CL-RVX01 XV Patrick Blackett X01 British Reseach Vessel 2023
XV Patrick Blackett is a new British Reseach Vessel modelled in 1/1250 scale waterline form by Coastlines Models, CL-RVX01. The model isprinted in PLA plastic and fully assembled and painted, see photograph
This ship was built by Damen Shipyard in conformity with their Fast Crew Supply vessels but modified to be able to operate and test unmanned drones for the Royal Navy. The ship is manned by a crew of five to handle the vessel and has accommodation for up to twelve research workers with laboratories and meeting rooms and has facilities for testing submarine, sea surface and airborn drones.
