Medium caliber shell splashes were originally designed to accompany 1/1200 scale waterline warship models in a naval war game . They were always available to purchase as white metal castings in packs of 8 models. These models have been fettled and painted by Coastlines Models, CL-EX09.
These medium sized shell splashes can always be used to represent smaller splashes in larger scales or larger splashes in smaller scales. The cruiser in the picture is a 1/1250 scale Navis model of HMS Nottingham and is not included in the pack
