Coastlines 1/1250 CL-AS09 ZR-2, US Navy Rigid Airship, 1921
A 1/1250 scale resin model of ZR-2, a US airship built in the UK in 1921. The airship was constructed at Cardington as R38, the largest airship to have been made up to then and test flown from Howden. The airship was officially re-named ZR-2 for the final test flight with her American crew on board but she broke up in flight and crashed into the Humber with heavy loss of life and the salvaged remains were scrapped.
The model is fully assembled and painted in the livery of the test flights from Howden.
