CM Models 1/1250 CM151 Berengaria, Cunard interwar transatlantic liner, 1922
A 1/1250 scale, fully assembled and painted, metal, waterline model of Berengaria (ex-Imperator), a Cunard transatlantic liner from 1922. The model is made by CM Miniaturen, CM151.
This model is on back order from CM and Antics hope to have a delivery before the end of 2024. The retail price charged for models will depend of the price ruling at the time of delivery to Antics Warehouse.
Berengaria had been the the German liner Imperator but was allocated to Cunard after WW1 in compensation for the Lusitania, which had been sunk in 1915 by a German submarine. Berengaria soldiered on despite a large crack appearing in her hull in an Atlantic storm which spead around 2/3 of her hull and necessitating a heavy repair and outlasted her newer sister Majestic but was brought down by a fire in New York with damage beyond economic repair. She was scrapped in 3 locations in the UK from 1938-46.
