CM Models 1/1250 CM150 RMS Majestic White Star Liner 1923-1930s
A 1/1250 scale metal model of Majestic White Star Line transatlantic liner 1920s-1930s by CM Miniaturen.
As part of War Reparations for the loss of Britannic, White Star was allocated the German Liner Bismark completing in Germany at the end of WW1. She operated alongside Olympic and Homeric as the largest ship in the world until the merger with Cunard forced the new company to rationalise. Majestic was slated for scrapping and her funnels and masts cut down to pass under the Forth Bridge for Rosyth dockyard. In 1938 the Admiralty requisitioned the ship to train cadets for the growing Royal Navy and she became HMS Caledonia. Unfortunately she caught fire and became a constructive total loss and was scrapped at Rosyth as manpower permitted in stages until 1948.
