The British A34 'Comet' cruiser tank is the UK's last cruiser tank to participate in the Second World War. It was designed as an improvement on the earlier Cromwell tank. It is equipped with a 17-pound (77 mm) Mk.2 quick-fire artillery gun with improved power, and with its new design wheels and track off-road capability is the supurb. Unfortunately because of its late introduction the Comet only saw action in the closing stages of the Second World War, then combat during the Korean War, and remained in British service until 1958.
