Bachmann OO 44-0147 Railway Stables Scenecraft Range
Horses were used by Britain's railways for road deliveries by horse-drawn lorries and to assist with shunting in small yards into the 1960s. This building allows a stable block to be added to your goods yard to house the horses.
Many of these stables buildings remained in use after motor lorries were introduced to provide stores for the road transport section and a place the local fleet of lorries could be maintained by a mechanic.
Stables building measures 160mm by 72mm, overall height 73mm. The rear wall is finished with three high-level windows so can be placed against another building or platform, or used as a stand-along building.
