A 1/1250 scale waterline metal model of the lead and name ship of the RN's latest class of destroyers, the type 45, HMS Daring. The model is fully assembled and painted. Model length approx 12.3cm, width approx 1.7cm
The Royal Navy's new Type 45 destroyer is designed for the air defence (AAW) role. The Daring class will be the most advanced air-defence warship in the world. The ship's capabilities centre on the SAMPSON Multi Function Radar which can detect targets out to a distance of 400 km (250 miles) and the PAAMS missile system.
