Australia commissioned three "F 100" frigates under licence from the Spanish shipyard Navantia in Ferrol, designated Hobart class anti-aircraft destroyers, and built at 3 Australian shipyards. Some segments were made in Ferrol.
The ships are similar to the Spanish versions, except for a few details in armament and equipment.
