RFA SIR GALAHAD
LSL (Landing Ship Logistics) of the RFA.
Served in 1966. Built by Alex Stephen
Equipped with rear and bow flap,
The ship had an helicopter deck added at the stern above another flight deck (Specially designed for the Falkland mission). 2-3 helicopters, 4
landing craft and any kind of military vehicles could be loaded. Diesel drive, max 17 kn, 125.6 x 19.6m.
Sir Galahad was sunk in June 1982, towards the end of the campaign
