Albatros 1/1250 AL148 Dunottar Castle, Union Castle Line, 1936-58
Dunottar Castle set a new style for the Union Castle line when she appeared in the 1930s with a raked bow and single funnel but even before the outbreak of WW2, she had been overtaken in size by new, much larger ships larger and faster than many of the transatlantic liners. In the 1950s as even more of the larger ships entered service, Dunottar Castle was sold to Greek interests and was converted to a cruise ship. This model is made by Albatros SM, AL148.
