SU-122 is a medium-weight Soviet self-propelled artillery mount of the assault gun class, created on the basis of the T-34 tank. In 1943, the first samples of the Su-122 entered service. The self-propelled gun was designed to support and escort tanks. This machine was one of the first self-propelled guns developed in the USSR, adopted in large-scale production. A total of 638 samples were produced. The production of the Su-122 was discontinued due to the transition to the production of the Su-85 tank destroyer, which was created on its basis.
