Originally commissioned into the Royal Navy in 1941 and one of two corvettes later assigned to Free Belgian Forces, Buttercup passed to Royal Norwegian Navy control at the end of 1944 after Belgium was liberated and served throughout the remainder of WWII in Norwegian service . Revell’s highly detailed model replicates Buttercup in Belgian service and includes special acoustic and magnet mine clearance equipment, 4 inch main gun, detailed radar tower, depth charge launchers and display stand.
