Aerial Screw Between 1480 and 1490 Leonardo drew his famous Aerial Screw, which represents the first idea of propeller (the same principle used by modern helicopters). By a rotary mechanism a screw with starched canvas and a radius of 4,80 m should be turned so fast that it would mount aloft. As a kit the screw is a little smaller but fully versatile and designed by the original drawing and by the historical model of the Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci in Milano.

Glider Around 1490 Leonardo drew his famous glider based on the deep observation of birds flight and anatomy. This study anticipated ideas found in modern gliders. Like in birds, the outer part of the wings was movable to control the machine. This feature is also present in the kit model, designed by original drawings and by the historical models of the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonoardo daVinci Milano.

Giant Crossbow Leonardos giant crossbow was a veritable "technological dream". It was intended for creating panic and fright among the enemies just by its wingspan of 24 meters and a length of 23 meters. Even tough as a model kit the crossbow is a little smaller and actually it can't shoot for security reasons, all its parts are movable. It was designed by the original drawing and the historic model of the Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci Milano.

Italeri Leonardo Da Vinci Mechanical Lion 3102
Sheets 90/v and 91/r of the Madrid Code include drawings of strange mechanisms that are not linked to the treatise on mechanics and often have no explanatory text. Analysing them led to the reconstruction of mechanisms enabling a mysterious animal, a mechanical lion, to move robotically. The lion, a gift from Pope Leone X and the town of Florence, was taken to Lyon, in France; on July 12 1515, at the end of a surprising, magical walk before the King of France, Francis I, it stopped knocking some lilies over. It can be considered one of the first animal-like robots ever built.
