New version of Breslau as converted and fitted with 6" (15cm) guns in 1917. Breslau was actually transferred to the Turkish navy in 1914, renamed Midilli, and served through WW1 until mined and sunk off Mudros, January 1918 after an action known as the Battle of Limnos, along with the battlecruiser Goeben. The Goeben (Turkish "Yavuz") survived until the 1960s, the last battlecruiser to be scrapped.
