Marshal Ney & her sister, Marshal Soult, were fitted with turrets diverted from the battleship Ramilles. Marshal Ney's engines were so poor and her steering so wayward that the 15" turret was removed in 1916 and by 1917 she was stationary off the downs as a guardship. After WW1 she became an accommodation ship with a variety of names and was finally scrapped in 1957.
