US Navy 1920-1945. American forces matured in WW1, these ships were built on experience and once awoken the sleeping giants' resolve proved terrible indeed.
A 1/1250 scale metal model of the troopship, USS Chaumont. Built in 1921 she was transferred to the USN as AP.5 at the end of 1921 and thereafter was used throughout the northern Pacific region until WW2 broke out. On 7th December, Chaumont was diverted from Manila to Australia via Suva & Fiji then returned via New Zealand & Balboa before returning to the Seattle to Pearl Harbor run. In 1943 she was converted to a hospital ship, USS Samaritan until the end of WW2
