Parkside Kits OO PC593 SR 12ton Ventilated Box Van Plywood Sides Plastic Model Wagon Kit
To reduce the demand on quality timber during WW2 the railway companies adapted with wagon designs to use plywood siding. These Southern Railway design vans with their distinctive triple-arc roof were built from 1945 with 2,500 being constructed and many lasting into the 1970s. This kit has been produced for many years under the Ratio banner and has now been merged into the Parkside range of wagon kits.
