<p><strong>Antics Weston Clevedon &amp; Portishead Railway Commission</strong><br />Thomas Silvey and Company were one of Bristols large coal factors and merchants, owning a large fleet of railway wagons and operating ships in the Bristol channel. Thomas Silvey wagons would have travelled widely collecting a range of coals, possibly using the the WC&amp;PR Wick St Laurence wharf to load Forest of Dean and Welsh coals.</p>

The Great Western acquired two Terriers in lieu of payments due from the moribund Weston, Clevedon and Portishead light railway. These engines were used in some of the small yards and dock sidings and engineers yards around Bristol. Bridgewater and Taunton.<br />Number 5 will be at home on any GWR layout on light goods duties.

The company served a number of depots in the South Eastern counties, including Tonbridge and Tenterden.

The Black Rock Quarry loading wharf was connected to the Weston Clevedon & Portishead light railway by a long loop, the quarry often being able to load more than 20 wagons a day. The quarry company had a fleet of at least 75, and probably around 150 wagons, a mix of 4 and 5 plank types of various vintages!
