This Trailer Standard Open ‘TSO’ InterCity Mk3 coach is an ideal coach to add to the B.R. High-Speed Train Set to increase the rake of coaches between the two Class43 Diesels. Mk3 coaches entered service in 1975 along with the Class 43 forming the iconic InterCity 125 trainset. After the HST Mk3 coach variant was introduced, further Mk3 coaches were introduced to the West Coast Mainline for use as part of locomotive-hauled trains. Whilst Mk3 stock is standard for HST units, the standard locomotive hauled stock is Mk3a. Mk3a stock differs from Mk3 stock due to the inclusion of buffers and a different electrical system that uses motor generator units in each coach to power air conditioning and other ancillaries. Mk3a stock was built until 1984, before 3B stock with improved seating and lighting was built from 1985 to 1988.

Pack of 4 ST-203 special short straight track, length 41mm (1.5/8in.).
Equivalent to Hornby R610 and Bachmann 36-610 short straight track.

The real Class 69 Diesel Locomotives have been created for GBRf through the conversion of redundant Class 56s and we are delighted to present this Bachmann Branchline OO scale model of Britain’s newest mainline diesel.
Produced under an exclusive agreement with GBRf, the Branchline model has been painstakingly developed hand-in-hand with the introduction of the GBRf fleet. With the Class 69s being built from donor locomotives that were first built by three different works and have themselves seen almost fifty years of use and modification, Bachmann has worked closely with GBRf to accommodate any detail differences that were present on the donors and have remained apparent on the rebuilt machines, along with any changes made to the final design of the Class 69 during the ongoing build programme.
This diligent approach has resulted in a truly magnificent model which befits the Branchline name, capturing the Class 56 shape to a tee alongside the modern adornments and many changes made to the locomotives to create the 69s.
The bodyshell features crisp, accurate mouldings to depict the main features along with separately fitted parts, including etched bodyside and roof fan grilles, metal windscreen wipers and separately fitted driver’s door handrails. Inside the cab there is interior detailing which will be decorated appropriately whilst machine room detailing is visible through the bodyside grilles. The underframe equipment is all present and correct, composed of many separate parts along with sandboxes and sandpipes and sprung metal buffers, but it is the bogies that really bring this model to life. It’s hard to describe these as anything but a work of art, using countless separate components to model every aspect of the bogie in full relief, from the brakes to the suspension, even down to the separately fitted bogie-body securing chains.
All of this detail, both inside and out, will be brought to life with an exquisite livery application using true-to-prototype colours, fonts and logos and with the help of GBRf official livery diagrams.
Under the body, the Branchline Class 69 features our proven drive system using a 5 pole motor with twin flywheels driving all axles on each bogie. Electrical pick-up comes from all wheels whilst DCC provision comes in the form of a Plux22 interface. Directional lighting is of course provided, along with cab and machine room lighting when used on DCC. The Dual Fitted speaker system is fitted to every model and this is fully utilised in our SOUND FITTED variants.

Arriving in the uk aboard MV Fairload on the 23rd June 2000, this locomotive was originally numbered 66250 and was the last EWS class 66 as part of their “red revolution” which had started with 66001 just a few years earlier. As part of a restructuring, EWS offered several locomotives for sale and 66250 was quired by GBRF in 2017 and was allocated the new number 66789. Unveiled on the 27th Feb 2018, 66789 sports a homage to the British Rail large logo blue livery to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the formation of British Railways back in 1948.

The Accurascale Class 66 model is based on the award winning ‘accura-standard’ platform, with all-wheel powered six-axle bogies, a powerful twin flywheel fitted motor and market leading electronics package.

Once an anonymous EWS maroon and gold class 66, 66142 led the life of a typical EWS 66 from its delivery during August 1999 right through the acquisition by DB up until its turn in the paintshop came in 2019 at the ripe age of 20 years old! Rather than the bright red of DB, 66142 gained the vibrant blue colour of Maritime Intermodal and was named “Maritime Intermodal Three”. Following Accurascale handing out free 'a' stickers at Warley in 2022, a number of these have found their way in to a wide variety of places, including on real rolling stock. 66142 is one such locomotive and proudly wears its 'a' sticker under one set of numbers

Arriving on the 20th December 2006, this locomotive originally sported the “First group” rendition of GBRF livery ahead of the press launch on the 8th January 2007 at Old Oak Common. 66724 gained its nameplates “Drax Power Station” later the same year. Surviving in much the same condition for a decade, 66724 was given a fresh coat of GBRF’s now standard dark blue in 2017.

The Accurascale Class 66 model is based on the award winning ‘accura-standard’ platform, with all-wheel powered six-axle bogies, a powerful twin flywheel fitted motor and market leading electronics package.

Colas Rail Freight leased 5 class 66 locomotives following the collapse of Advenza freight (numbered 66841 to 66845), in 2011 these locomotives were then leased on to GBRF. Leaving a hole in the fleet, Colas purchased 5 class 66 locomotives from Freightliner (formerly numbered 66573 to 66577). These 5 were given a fresh coat of Colas’ house colours and renumbered to 66846 to 66850. 66849 was given the name of “Wylam Dilly” straight after its repainting and has carried it to this day. Wylam Dilly is the second oldest surviving steam locomotive in the world and was built for hauling coal at Wylam Colliery near Newcastle in 1815.

66414 was originally leased to DRS and this is how it arrived fresh from the factory aboard MV fairlift on the 16th October 2006. When that lease expired, DRS did not renew leaving the locomotive available for transfer to Freightliner. Perhaps better known for its spell as “James the Engine” in Stobart livery, it gained the new “powerhaul” version of freightliner livery in 2015 and this is how it remains to this day.

9681 was one of the last pannier tanks to be built. Emerging from Swindon Works in 1949 under the ownership of British Railways it was part of the penultimate lot of 10 locomotives. Initially allocated to Tondu in South Wales, it spent periods at Oswestry and Hereford before being withdrawn from Cardiff East Dock after a 16 year working life. Luckily it was bought by scrap merchant Dai Woodham and spent a number of years languishing before being moved to the Dean Forest Railway and returned to steam in 1984. Returned to service again late in 2022 9681 will be the mainstay of the Forest line for the next few years, hopefully to be joined by 9682 before it's next overhaul.
Features: Top feed boiler, 8750 style cab, Bunker steps fitted, Injector overflow routed outside running plate

This locomotive was built at Swindon in 1933 and allocated to Old Oak Common where it spent its entire working life. By the early 1950s many panniers were fitted with top feed boilers. In contrast to the more common plain black livery, 8763 was treated to full mixed traffic lining as its duties included working empty coaching stock in and out of London Paddington. It was withdrawn in 1962.

7714 was an early “contractor” built locomotive, in this case, it was built by Kerr Stuart in Stoke on Trent in 1930. Initial allocation was to Tyseley but was soon sent North to Birkenhead. Withdrawn in 1959 it was purchased by the NCB and was sent to work at Penallta Colliery in South Wales. It worked here until it was purchased by the Severn Valley Railway in 1973. It was returned to steam and has been in service on and off ever since.
Features: No top feed, Rivetted tanks, Injector overflow routed through running plate

Highly detailed model of the revised 8750 type of the GWR 57xx class pannier tanks with the more rounded 'Collett' cab. This revised design was introduced in 1933 and used with all (except 1) of the 57xx class locomotives built up to the end of construction in 1950.
This model of 8750 is finished in GWR mid-chrome green lettered GREAT WESTERN as this locomotive was completed in late 1933, while the last of this batch would have been among the first locomotives to receive the new shirtbutton in the following year.
The Dapol model has proven highly capable with a wide range of options built into the tooling design and a diecast chassis providing sufficient weight for realistic trains to be hauled. Smooth drive from a modern low-current motor to the coupled wheels, allows an OO/HO type 21-pin DCC decoders to used.

London Transport had retained a small number of ex-Metropolitan Railway steam locomotives for engineering service and by 1950 these engines were at the end of their service lives. The original design GWR 57xx pannier tanks were one of the few types which would fit within the Metropolitan loading gauge and LT purchased 11 from BR. Painted in Metropolitan lined red these engines worked for LT until 1971.
This model is finished as LT L90, though as number L90 was used twice, 7711 being replaced with 7760 in 1961 we await a photo from Dapol to confirm which one!

Peco OO Pack of 4 ST-226 2nd Radius Double Curves ST-2026
Pack of 4 double curves at number 2 radius. 438mm 17 1/4in radius. 22.5 degree curve. This will for a half-circle.
Equivalent to Hornby R607 and Bachmann 36-607 2nd radius double curve tracks.

Number 2 is the standard curve radius used for OO train sets and the minimum radius which large locomotives, coaches and wagons will successfully travel around. Almost all British ready-to-run models are designed to navigate no.2 radius curves as supplied. Peco, Bachmann and Hornby standard points use no.2 radius for the curved arm of the point, allowing a point can be substituted for one standard curve to create a siding. The standard curve is also used with a point to bring the diverging track back to parallel with the straight route.

Peco track uses durable and corrosion resistant nickel-silver rail for long lasting performance.
Peco Setrack track sections are fully compatable with Hornby and Bachmann track and are supplied with fishplates already fitted at both ends, ready for attachment to other track sections.

A popular size especially in the garden, SM-32 models are built to a scale of 16mm/foot and run on a gauge of 32mm, the equivalent of a two foot gauge railway. Double model pack of both Judy and Alfred finished in as preserved Port of Par lined light green livery. Supplied in a presentation box.
A pair of highly detailed and high specification models of the Port of Par Bagnall locomotives, two locomotives specially built to a very distinctive low profile and very familiar to enthusiasts from their industrial service up to 1977 and in preservation, immortalised in Rev. Awdry's to Thomas books.
This model from Rapido Trains has been designed from original works drawings and examination of both engines. Packed in under the saddle tank is a smooth-running mechanism with flywheel, plunger pickups, a factory-installed speaker and a Next18 decoder socket, keeping the cab clear for backhead detail and allow a driver figure (not supplied) to be fitted. The tooling has been designed to accurately portray the slight differences between Alfred and Judy.

The GWR ‘Bloater’ vans were built for fish traffic from 1916 onwards, to replace an ageing fleet of older designs used to transport fish. Due to the nature of the cargo, the vans were reserved solely for fish traffic and worked mainly from the major fishing ports in Cornwall and Pembrokeshire. Classed as Non-Passenger-Carrying Coaching Stock (NPCCS), the vans were through-piped for steam heating and were rated to run at express speeds with passenger trains. Three variants of the ‘Bloater’ are covered by these all-new EFE Rail models – the Diagram S8, S9 and S10. Within these diagrams could be found vans fitted with vacuum brakes and those fitted with both vacuum and Westinghouse air brakes – the latter were coded ‘Bloater A’, but by the early-1930s these had seen their air brakes removed and were recoded to ‘Bloater’.

The Class 41 ‘Warship’ locomotives (known originally as the D600s) were pioneers, being the first British mainline diesel-hydraulic locomotive and the first Type 4 diesel locomotive completed for BR when the class leader, No. D600, was delivered in late-1957. More than sixty years since the real locomotives first entered traffic, it is finally possible to enjoy N scale models of these western pioneers thanks to this new EFE Rail model.

A highly detailed model of the Collet 5101 class large prairie tank 2-6-2T locomotives, a development of the earlier Chucrhward 31xx series which had proven highly effective locomotives for outer suburban services. The 5ft8in drivers of these engines allowed them to run freely at regular passenger train speeds and the growing 5101 class, 140 locomotives built between 1929 and 1949, quickly took over mainline stopping services and heavily loaded duties on many longer branch lines.
This model of 5132 recreates the appearance of this engine after WW2, finished in mid-chrome green and carrying the letters G W R.

Equivalent to the Hornby R600 and Bachmann 600 straight track.
This is the standard straight track length in the section track system, the same lengths is used by Bachmann, Hornby and Peco for their sectional track ranges. Track sections from all three manufacturers are fully compatible and can be used to expand the track supplied with train sets.
Sectional track standard points, Peco ST240/241 and Hornby R8072/8073 fit into the same track length along the straight side. The same length is also used for items like level crossings, making it easy to match up track lengths as you assemble a layout.
Peco use quality nickel-silver rail, providing good electrical contact and long lasting performance.

The Dapol model has proven highly capable with a wide range of options built into the tooling design and a diecast chassis providing sufficient weight for realistic trains to be hauled. Smooth drive from a modern low-current motor to the coupled wheels, allows an OO/HO type 21-pin DCC decoders to used with sound options available.

From the initial order of 50 locomotives from the North British Locomotive Works, 5741 emerged from Queens Park works, Glasgow in 1929. Initially allocated to Aberbeeg but transferred to Ebbw Junction whilst in the condition represented here. A relatively early withdrawal came in 1957 from Newport Pill Shed. It is reputed that 5741 was the inspiration for (and number carried by) “Duck” in the Rev. Awdry’s Railway Series.

SM32 32mm gauge narrow gauge point for 16mm scale trains.
Length 511mm/20.1in, nominal radius 1524mm/60in, angle 8 degrees.

A popular size especially in the garden, SM-32 models are built to a scale of 16mm/foot and run on a gauge of 32mm, the equivalent of a two foot gauge railway. SM-32 has become the first choice for many narrow gauge enthusiasts who want to operate live steam locomotives by radio control, the large size of the locomotives means plenty of room for the receiver and control servos.
