Saratoga Model Shipyard 1/1250 SMY12 USS Vestal (AR-4) repair ship, 1941

Vestal was built at New york Navy Yard in 1908-10 as a fleet collier (USS Erie) but became a repair ship in 1913. She was moored outboard of USS Arizona when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Hit by two bombs and heavily damaged by the explosion of Arizona, she was beached. She was repaired at Pearl Harbor and re-entered service in 1944 and was at Okinawa in 1945.
