GWR Manor Class

Light 4-6-0 locomotives built to replace the Churchward 43xx class 2-6-0 moguls, the 4-wheel leading truck being much better suited for the faster train speeds of the 1930s. 20 locomotives built by the GWR with 10 more added after nationalisation several Manors were lucky enough to be bought by the Woodham Brothers, surviving to be restored to service on heritage railways.
